Marco Reus Alerts English Giants With His Latest Statement

English giants Man Utd and Arsenal have registered their interest in Marco Reus, according to Sky Sport Germany.

The mercurial forward has sparked excitement among the Premier League duo, as he has professed that he would wish to try something new owing to the fact that his current contract with the German club is purportedly set to meet its deadline by the end of this year’s campaign.

Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger have been long-term enthusiasts of Reus, and would unquestionably exploit the situation to land him at their own respective clubs. The Gunners were not able to unfold a swoop earlier on the grounds that the forward never considered the likelihood of departure from the Bundesliga side.

Nevertheless, the German international recently told GQ magazine: “There are four or five international clubs who interest me. On May 31 next year, I will turn 30. That would be my last big contract and a final opportunity to try something different.

“I have to be honest and fair and say I don’t know where I’ll end up. At the moment, I’m very happy in Dortmund and not thinking about what happens after 2019. But, of course, the time will come and then I will sit down and calmly make a decision.”

The decorated forward has had an immensely productive career at Borussia Dortmund, and has on no occasion failed to exhilarate his supporters since joining the club back in 2012. The German has savoured every moment of his seasons with Dortmund, and displayed promises of living up to the hype.

Although injury issues for Dortmund’s Golden Boy have never ceased, Reus has never gone down in the hierarchy of players utilizing their versatile prowess. The playmaker’s arrival in England would inevitably stir the Premier League fans, as he’s capable of portraying exquisite plays up front.

Regardless, Dortmund hope to keep their star fastened to Westfalenstadion, as the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc recently proclaimed: “We see Marco with us in the long run.”
