Harry Kane Officially Ruled Out For The Utd-Spurs Clash
Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane has been ruled out of his side’s clash against high-flying Manchester United after sustaining a minor knock at Anfield.
The Englishman has been one of the most instrumental figures in the Spurs team for quite some time, and that has been no different this season. Kane currently leads the Premier League top scorers’ chart with a tally of 8 goals so far, along with an assist.
Unfortunately, the Spurs faithful will be devastated to learn that their main man will have to sit out the fixture against the Red Devils due to a minor hamstring injury he suffered recently. The towering striker came off the pitch early after netting a brace against a declining Liverpool side, and missed the Londoners’ defeat at the hands of West Ham at Wembley.
Though boss Mauricio Pochettino brushed off the issue back then as nothing to be worried about, he insists the knock unexpectedly needs treatment and recovery, and added that his No. 9’s fitness will not be risked.
“We cannot take a risk for tomorrow,” the Argentine said. “We’ll see after for Wednesday [against Real Madrid]. But tomorrow, it is impossible.”
The 24-year-old will certainly be missed by the North Londoners, who face a very strong United side on Saturday. Mourinho’s men are currently level on points with Spurs. Both sides are sure to be keen on breaking the deadlock whilst adding pressure on league leaders Manchester City.
