Jose Mourinho Worried His Favorite Player Could Leave The Club
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly ‘worried’ about the current contract situation of star midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
The Belgian international will be out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of this season, after the Red Devils triggered the one-year extension earlier this year.
Furthermore, United have been unsuccessful in negotiating a new contract with the midfielder, who would become a free agent next summer, making him available to speak to other clubs once the transfer window re-opens this coming January.

And now, according to Manchester Evening News, the 29-year-old’s current contract situation seems to be a matter of major concern for Mourinho. In fact, along with Fellaini, contracts of six other United stars are set to expire at the end of the campaign.
But the Special One appears to be more ‘worried’ about Fellaini than other players, including the likes of Luke Shaw, as the Englishman’s contract still contains an additional one-year clause, which is yet to be triggered by the Old Trafford club.
Mourinho recently confirmed: “I’m worried about Fellaini and not about Luke Shaw. Because Fellaini finishes his contract and Luke Shaw doesn’t.”
