Angel Gomes’ Father Claims The Forward Is ‘Coveted’ By ‘All The Greats Of Europe’

Manchester United’s teen sensation Angel Gomes may leave the Red Devils, as his father claims the 17-year-old is ‘coveted’ by ‘all the greats of Europe’.
Gomes was handed his first senior team debut last season by Jose Mourinho, as the young lad replaced veteran Wayne Rooney against Crystal Palace back in May. The Englishman is highly rated by the Red Devils, as he has showed tremendous amount of potential in the club’s youth academy.
But as per The Sun, Gomes might not stay at Old Trafford for long, as his father has suggested that the forward is already being ‘coveted’ by top European clubs.

“He is the youngest player in the history of English football of Manchester United,” Gomes’ father told RTP. “So the qualities are really above average. And today he is a player coveted by all the greats of Europe.”
Furthermore, Juan Mata also referred to the Under-17 World Cup winner, which England won by beating Spain 5-2 last week in India, as his ‘former’ team-mate in a blog post.
The Sun had also reported that La Liga giants Barcelona were keeping tabs on the young lad’s development in England. Along with that, in a separate report given by Calciomercato, it was claimed that Serie A champions Juventus were interested in bringing the 17-year-old to Turin.
Gomes, United’s Academy Young Player of the Year in 2016-17, is yet to sign a contract with the Old Trafford club, but as things stand, an extension seems to be a vague concept, especially for the youngster’s father, who believes his boy has ‘qualities above average’.
