Gerrard’s Answer When Asked If He’d Want To Become Manager Of Fierce Rivals

Things seem to have fallen in place for Liverpool with the return of Sadio Mane, as they hammered West Ham 4-1 at the London Stadium to register an impressive third win in a week in all competitions, especially after they were thrashed by the same score by Spurs two weeks ago at Wembley.
Liverpool, courtesy of the win, maintain their sixth spot in the Premier League table, tied with Chelsea and Arsenal on 19 points, but having played one match more than the other two.
Steven Gerrard was in the BT Sport studio to see his former team win convincingly away from home.
However, Liverpool’s bitter rivals Everton have not been enjoying a desirable season so far, and are lingering at the 19th position of the table. It’s been so bad that they have already sacked Ronald Koeman, while David Unsworth’s audition as a caretaker boss isn’t going too well.
In the Studio, Gerrard was asked by Jake Humphrey if he would rescue the Toffees from their current relegation. To this, the Englishman was quick to reply with a ‘NO’. His former rivals are currently stuck in a relegation battle, and the decorated midfielder taking charge of Everton really wouldn’t go down well at Liverpool.
Gerrard’s answer of “no” almost came out before Humphrey had finished asking the question. He is, however, hoping to pick up the managing job at Anfield one day, and he very well knows moving to the Toffees right now would do him no favours in following his dream.
