Manchester United reportedly have a bunch of players whose contracts are set to expire by the end of this year’s campaign.

A few key players, including Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and Ashley Young, are regular starters for the club. However, they are purportedly out of contract in the summer.

The next players up on the list are Luke Shaw and Aston Villa loanee Sam Johnstone. The Portuguese tactician might be tempted to sell a few players owing to the fact that they have failed to impress him.

Regardless, United are trying to fasten those team members on grounds of acquiring more money when the players are sold after a presumed rise in their value.

The situation of Shaw under Mourinho is massively sceptical. The influential coach might opt to dispose of the left-back as a result of the mediocre performances he displays for the team.

Furthermore, Starsport claims that Danny Rose is set to join the Old Trafford outfit for £45m in the upcoming summer window. Hence, the conclusion of Shaw’s United career could be witnessed sooner or later, speculation suggests.

Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has been sidelined due to an unfortunate injury, and veteran midfielder Michael Carrick, are also out of contract in 2018, along with Marouane Fellaini, according to reports.

Natheless, most of the players are expected to stay put, as the Red Devils have an option to trigger a one-year extension to all of them, which would settle the issue till 2019. The team is residing in the second position on the table, which manifests the form they showcased this season.
