Youngster Could Reunite With Robin van Perise At Fenerbahce In January
Luke Shaw continues to find it tough to make it to the starting lineup of a formidable United side, and talks of him not doing well with manager Jose Mourinho have dominated the headlines for several weeks now.
The injury-prone Englishman is no longer in the Portuguese’s plans for the rest of the season, and is clearly a surplus to the squad.
With Ashley Young and Daley Blind being preferred ahead of him at the Mancunian outfit, he may well need to look elsewhere for regular football, as he has made just two substitute appearances in the Carabao Cup, and has failed to feature in the Premier League yet.
The Sun suggest that the 22-year-old will be loaned out when the transfer window reopens in January, before he eventually gets sold on a free transfer in the upcoming summer, when his contract expires.
Turkish giants Fenerbahce, who also have former Red Devils’ man Robin van Persie and Spurs flops Roberto Soldado and Vincent Janssen in their ranks, are on the lookout for a new left-back, and have reportedly identified the out-of-favour United star as an option.
In fact, as per Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Fenerbahce have already begun negotiations with Man Utd, as they look to sort out their defence sooner rather than later.
Shaw moved to Old Trafford in 2014 for a fee of £30 million, but his stint at the Old Trafford club has hardly gone as he would have planned, having made only 49 appearances for the Reds, out of which 32 came in the Premier League.
