DONE DEAL: Manchester United Sign ‘The Next Angel Di Maria’
Manchester United are certainly proving to be amongst the best hotspots for talents to thrive and flourish in Europe.
The English giants seek to bolster their options at all times in their bid to regain the success that they were renowned for under Sir Alex Ferguson.
It appears that they intend to continue this trend, and have already taken the initiative to do so by signing a Benfica talent who is already touted for much success.

As per Portuguese outlet Record, the Red Devils have agreed to a deal with Benfica over the signing of 16-year-old Umaro Embalo.
While the fee paid for the teen’s services is currently undisclosed, Daily Star reports that United had a prior bid of £4 million rejected during the summer window.

Embalo will be integrated into the club’s successful youth academy, and will be looking to break his way into the first team as quickly as possible. The left-footed winger is believed to be very swift, and has often drawn comparisons with Argentine superstar Angel Di Maria.
While the latter’s spell at Old Trafford was short and miserable, supporters will be eagerly hoping that this teenager will bring laurels to the club.
United kept tabs on the youngster for quite a while. During the UEFA Youth League encounter back in October, he featured prominently. Further, as per ESPN, the side’s head scout Javier Ribalta, and head of development John Murtagh were also in attendance during United U-19s’ 2-2 draw with the Portuguese giants.
With Portugal’s U-17 side, Embalo has found the back of the net 15 times in 18 appearances. Apart from being clinical in front of goal, the teenager is also touted to have brilliant tactical intelligence for his age.
It will be interesting to see how he fares at United’s academy, and whether or not the Old Trafford faithful get to witness the starlet sprinting down the wings in trademark Red Devil fashion in the years to come.
