Ed Woodward Offers A Bumper £24m-A-Year Deal To La Liga Youngster

Manchester United have tabled a 5-year bumper deal for Real Madrid sensation Marco Asensio should he decide to depart from the Spanish capital.

The youngster has taken Spanish football by storm since his debut for Los Blancos. So far, the Spaniard has recorded direct involvement in 15 goals in 20 starts across all competitions. Moreover, Asensio’s versatility and potential have earned him a place amongst the best prospects in La Liga.

Consequently, the midfielder has caught the eye of many European giants, and the Red Devils are one of them.

The Mancunian giants are willing to cough up a total of €200 million (£177m) for the Spanish sensation, and are also open to offer a 5-year contract, worth £24 million-a-year, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.

There is hardly anything that can be said to deny the former Espanyol man’s talent, and the attention he has has recently been receiving clearly shows that.

Further, the young Spaniard has also been acclaimed by stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Isco. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that United are keen to sign the 22-year-old, and are willing to put up such an illustrious deal to secure his services.

However, Asensio is bound to a contract with Real until the year 2023, and seems to be in no hurry of making a switch to any other club. Nevertheless, it is no secret that the Premier League giants have no shortage of financial resources, and may yet again manage to pull off another shock transfer in the near future.
