Luke Shaw is a sorry figure on the Manchester United bench, and more often than not, he is not even handed that spot. The youngster, who once sparked of untapped potential, and became the world’s most expensive teenager following his move to Old Trafford, has seen a dismal drop from grace, tainted with injuries.
And now, the Red Devils are all but ready to part ways with their failed investment, and the future might not look all too grim. As per Times, Fenerbahce have emerged as the frontrunners in signing the 22-year-old, and are one of the few sides willing to pay most of the left-back’s existing £130,000-per-week wage package.

However, the only hitch in that potential move is that the player himself has reportedly no intention whatsoever of moving to Turkey.
In that case, he might see a glimmer of hope closer to home, with Telegraph reporting that Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea too, are very keen on providing the Englishman a second chance, and might look to make a swoop in January.

This will come as immensely positive news for Shaw, whose contract was extended by the Mancunian outfit till 2019. Unfortunately, the move was not an indication of potential playing time, but rather a desperate attempt from the club to regain as much as possible of the £30 million that they paid to Southampton back in 2014.
However, that precisely might prove to be the deal breaker. It is believed that none of the Premier League clubs are willing to go for the big salary offered to the failed prospect, and might seek to do some bargaining even with the asking price.
If this occurs, United might find themselves in a bit of a pickle, and might have to settle for gaining whatever they can rather than seeing the player leave for free regardless, after potentially another year wasted on the sidelines.
