Ryan Giggs Names The Player He’ll Pick Between Marcus Rashford And Gabriel Jesus

Marcus Rashford literally came out of the blue to cement his place as a Red. Ever since his breakthrough season with Louis Van Gaal, the youngster has continued to impress tremendously. Under Jose Mourinho, he is trusted very eagerly, and given the starting spot week in and week out.
The Englishman’s work rate is one that certainly agrees with the decision, with the 20-year-old having found the back of the net 26 times in 89 appearances. Club legend Ryan Giggs has taken note of the starlet, and made a comment about him in his latest ‘Class of 92 Diary’ for Sky Sports.
“It will be interesting to see Marcus Rashford and Gabriel Jesus come up against each other at Wembley for England v Brazil. I think the word for these two players is exciting,” said the Welshman.
“They’re a bit different, Jesus has a better scoring record but Marcus likes to match up with defenders and try something, which is what makes him great to watch. However, it is his work rate and commitment which is really what makes him such a valuable asset for Manchester United.”

But then he uttered a comment that has since made him the laughing stock of Twitter: “You wouldn’t swap him for any other young player right now. I’ve not seen Jesus in the same close-up environment but he’s obviously shown from his performances he is a very talented player.”
The Twitterati’s assurance that the Manchester City striker was the better player was clearly apparent. Further, fans were obviously reminding him of the likes of Mbappe and Dembele, whose big money moves in the summer were backed by sensational performances which definitely bettered those of Rashford.
The reactions were trademark Twitter mockery, questioning Giggs’s state of sobriety and knowledge on the current game. But to cut the veteran winger some slack, like Rashford, he too was a youth product at Old Trafford and went on to see footballing greatness. Should the youngster go on to achieve a similar career, it will be interesting to see who is laughing then.
