Anthony Martial showcased his raw talents last night by setting up his compatriot with an elegant footwork followed by an assist, on which Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette put the finishing touch with ease.

Despite the match ending 2-2, the first goal, a consequence of a brilliant piece of collaboration from the Frenchmen, enticed a great deal of recognition. Martial, specifically, was the player who stole the spotlight last night by baffling the German defence to aid Lacazette in netting the first goal.

The tranquillity displayed by the forward was indubitably phenomenal, fooling some of the world’s best defenders deep inside the box, and further setting up his teammate for a clear shot on an empty net.

The United man was given a start alongside Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe, with Olivier Giroud out injured. And then, without much delay, the trio proved why they were considered much of a deadly combination.

After struggling during Jose Mourinho’s first season, the 21-year-old has seemingly returned back to his old form. However, he hasn’t demonstrated the consistency that the Portuguese would wish for, and that has been the chief factor behind the player being stuck on the United bench.
