Man Utd Given The Green Light To Complete £35m Transfer

Man Utd may have finally found the solution to their left-back dilemma, as Benfica CEO has revealed that the club would be open to selling Alex Grimaldo.
The Red Devils have been struggling with an unstable left flank for the past three seasons or so, and they are yet to find a long-term solution to it.
Though Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind, and Luke Shaw have always been an option at Old Trafford, the appointment of Jose Mourinho saw them fall considerably below the pecking order.
Nevertheless, United may have just found a potential candidate to fill in the defensive void, as Grimaldo has turned out to be for sale, according to club CEO Domingos Oliveria.
“All of the Benfica players have a certain market,” Oliveria told IBTimes UK.
“Now you have some differences, the oldest guy we have in the team is Julio Cesar who is 38 years old and youngest is Miles Svilar who is 18.
“The players with over 30 years, it is difficult to transfer them although for example Jonas, our best striker, when we hired him he was already 30.
“But for a player who is 25, 26, 27, or younger at 22, 23, 24, there is a huge market. I am not talking specifically about Grimaldo, but all players with those conditions, they have a market.”
The 22-year-old has been linked with elites like Man City and Juventus recently, but Mourinho may want to cease the opportunity to secure his services. The La Masia graduate could prove to be the key to the Mancunians’ defensive stability.
