United Board Promise Mourinho They’ll Make 3 World-Class Signings If He Rejects PSG
Manchester United are set to heavily back Jose Mourinho in the transfer market yet again next summer, as the Portuguese boss prepares to make three world-class signings.
According to reports in Spain, Mourinho has been keen on a La Liga raid, with Valencia’s Carlos Soler, Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale all being linked with moves to Old Trafford, while RB Leipzig’s Emile Forsberg is also being scouted.
Sport claims that United are determined to get up to a level where they can be seen as genuine competitors for the Champions League, and are ready to go all out in the transfer market yet again to ensure this happens.
As a result, Mourinho has been penning down his list of targets, and is especially on the lookout for a player who can play out wide – an area on the pitch that his side needs some desperate strengthening in – and has been handed a budget of £200 million to secure his desires.
Meanwhile, Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s Old Trafford career continues to hang in the balance, and his poor form of late has sent Mourinho into spirals, and he may be forced to make use of the winter transfer window to secure a quick fix.
Chelsea star Willian has been the name of a number of journalists’ lips, with his spell at the London club looking increasingly likely to come to an end due to a lack of game time.
Mourinho is a big fan of the Brazilian, and is keen on a reunion, so a move could be possible. However, it is unknown as to whether Chelsea will decide to sanction a sale to United after the backlash they received for selling Nemanja Matic to their rivals.
