Ashley Young has made ten appearances for Manchester United this term after staying dormant for very long since Jose Mourinho took charge. However, he has earned back his lost reputation through those fixtures, consequently gaining the gaffer’s trust.
And now, according to Mirror, the 32-year-old is about to be recompensed for his resurgence with a fresh £6m contract extension. Purportedly, the Portuguese is stirred by the service the Englishman has been providing on the flanks, particularly by his versatility.
Young’s current £130,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford is meeting its deadline by the end of this year’s campaign. Nonetheless, the Red Devils have reportedly made up their mind to trigger a one-year contract extension.

The Old Trafford outfit intends to secure his services, as he has substantial efficacy in four different positions. To ensure that, the club has also snubbed a bid worthy of attention for the wing-back, reports Mirror Sport.
Young seems to have secured his future at the Theatre Of Dreams, unlike Luke Shaw, who could only make 2 EFL appearances for the Mancunian giants, and is likely to head out the exit door in the near future, possibly January.
