Pogba Frustrated At His National Teammate Who Influenced The Referee To Give Him The Red Card
Arsenal were humbled at the Emirates by Manchester United in Saturday after the visitors convincingly secured a thrilling win. But, despite the win, boss Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba seem to be equally frustrated over one thing.
Around the hour mark of the fixture, the French international was shown a red card to his face by referee Andre Marriner for a gruesome stomp on the rear of Hector Bellerin’s knee.

However, according to Mourinho and Pogba, more than the challenge, it was his national teammate Laurent Koscielny’s influence that left United with 10 men on the field.
The duo believed that it was the Arsenal skipper’s theatrical reaction to the foul that forced the card out of the match official’s pocket.

“I was not even looking in that direction,” the former Chelsea manager commented on the topic. “I just know Paul is frustrated. A bit disappointed with his colleague (Laurent) Koscielny, with this kind of reaction.
“Paul is very frustrated because everyone knows he is a clean player and it is not his intention to be close to a red card.”
On the other hand, many believe Marriner’s decision was spot on, as it was a rather late challenge that was struck by the former Juventus man’s boots, who then proceeded to sarcastically applaud the referee as he walked off.

Moreover, this could also be the pair’s frustration over the Frenchman being ruled out of the upcoming Manchester derby.
Ironically though, the Gunners were supposedly denied what the replays showed to be two penalties in the second half through late challenges on Alexandre Lacazette and Danny Welbeck in the box.
With that in account, the Portuguese boss may want to just try to be satisfied with the amazing result they secured, and plan ahead for their fixture against City, especially with the 24-year-old no longer an option.
