The January transfer window looms ever closer, and clubs across Europe are either busy listing players they wish to purchase, or protecting the talent they’d rather not let go.

As of such, it is a tremendous time for the players themselves, who have potentially career-altering decisions to make in a short period of time.

Such seems to be the case for one Spanish midfielder who has been long under the radar of several European powerhouses, particularly that of Manchester United.

Reports suggest that Lazio’s Sergej Milinković-Savić is a renewed interest for Jose Mourinho, with the Italian media suggesting that the United boss sent scouts to observe the 22-year-old during the weekend, wherein the put on an electric show.

In the encounter against Sampdoria which ended 2-1, he was first crucial, as he scored the valuable equalizer very near the dead of the match, and then set up an injury-time assist for Felipe Caicedo that ensured his side took home the three points.

As per Calciomercato, Lazio’s sporting director Igli Tare remarked that the side turned down a remarkable €70 million offer for the starlet back in the summer. But with the window about to reopen, the clubs are back with renewed offers.

This interest was confirmed months ago by his agent Mateja Kezman, who stated: “There’s been a lot of interest from several clubs, such as those in Madrid, Manchester, and Milan.

“But he wants to be happy, to play to keep growing and become one of the best in his role. It’s difficult to see him away from Lazio, where he has started the season very well, but I can’t rule out him leaving.”

This will be the hope that Mourinho will tug onto strongly, and at Old Trafford, the youngster will certainly find the apt destination to develop his talents even further.
