Jose Mourinho has been shortlisting quite a few names for the vacant left-back position.

With Luke Shaw not preferred by the Portuguese anymore, the manager has deployed Ashley Young as a temporary solution till January. But he will definitely look for the best option for the vital position, especially with the business end of the season around the corner.

Recent reports from Daily Record claim that United will target Juventus left-back Alex Sandro when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Brazilian has been in good form, and always plays a crucial role in initiating the attack. He made former Old Trafford great Patrice Evra fall out of favor in Turin in order to take the permanent position in the team.

Reports further suggest that the 26-year-old has already expressed his desire to leave the Serie A giants for a Premier League team. However, the Italian heavyweights will only sell the player if one gets anywhere near the asking price.

Sandro joined Juventus from FC Porto in the summer of 2015 for €26 million, and with his current form, along with interest from few other Premier League clubs, the Serie A outfit is planning to take advantage and seal a record deal for the defender, amounting to about €70 million.

Meanwhile, Premier League giants Manchester City and defending league champions Chelsea are equally interested to secure the services of the left-back.
