Why Furious Real Madrid Players Don’t Want David De Gea

Reports of a switch to the Spanish capital for David De Gea have been flooding the transfer market lately. But unlike the Real Madrid supporters, their players are nowhere near as excited or happy about the idea of the Manchester United superstar’s arrival.

The Spanish international has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu before, and he had even come so close to securing the move that only his signature on a contract was all that remained.

Unfortunately, apparent issues with the fax machine gave birth to one of the most hilarious negotiations breakdowns in the modern history of the sport.

Nevertheless, the Galacticos are still keen on adding De Gea’s shot-stopping prowess to the Real defense, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon.

However, due to the former Atletico Madrid man’s high wage demands, not only are the reported negotiations being stalled, but they have also started upsetting Los Blancos’ stars.

Don Balon reported that the likes of Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, and Isco believe they are underpaid, and also deserve the same sort of wage structure.

The Spanish goalkeeper has reportedly been offered a deal worth well over £10 million a year, which has given rise to prejudice from his would-be teammates should he make the switch.

On the other hand, the Spanish giants are also said to be eyeing Athletic Bilbao shot-stopper Arrizabalaga, whilst Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla have been linked with a move to Juventus and Newcastle United respectively. The pair is expected to depart from Madrid at the end of the campaign.
