Former Chelsea skipper John Terry has gone on to explain the biggest problem Jose Mourinho is facing in his second season at Manchester United.
The Portuguese manager won three trophies in the first year of his reign at Old Trafford, and although he typically goes on to win the league title during the second year of his stay, especially seen with Chelsea, this term, the prospect looks far fetched.
United sit second in the Premier League table, but are 11 points behind rivals Manchester City, who haven’t yet lost a game, and have won 15 in a row in the league.

Mourinho finished 6th last season with the Mancunian club, but went on to win the Europa League, and therefore, qualified for the Champions League this season. In the European competition, the Reds are already in the knockout stage, and will face Sevilla in the Round of 16.
But what Jose would have liked more was being less far away from City in terms of points in the league. After United’s derby loss last weekend, the side did bounce back with a hard earned 1-0 win against Bournemouth.
And speaking on Matchday Live, John Terry revealed (via the Mirror) what he feels about Jose’s currently situation at the Theatre of Dreams.
“Individually he will be looking at three or four more players in certain areas. He needs his real team of what identifies him as a manager, I don’t think he has really got that at the moment,” said Terry.
What is interesting is that Jose has spent millions on transfers over the two summers, and still hasn’t built the team he wants.
The manager is said to have made a list of possible recruitments he desires next season, and hopefully, he will build a team to help United win the league honour for the first time in 6 years, since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson.
