What United Fans Are Saying About Zlatan And Lukaku After Embarrassing Bristol City Defeat

Championship side Bristol City dished out one of the best performances of the season after stunning Manchester United to progress into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
The home team was brilliant from the word go, and saw a splendid collective performance to win 2-1 on the night. A goal right at the death made the fans go crazy, as they invaded the pitch after the final whistle to celebrate a historical moment in their history.
United went 1-0 down, and leveled after a Zlatan Ibrahimovic stunner from a well taken free-kick, but Korey Smith won the game in the last minute of the stoppage time.

As Bristol City took the game to United and were worthy winners, the away team fans showed no mercy on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, as they took to social media site Twitter, to vent out their frustration.
Ibra made his first start since his return from a career-threatening injury after eight months, and looked a bit rusty. But before his goal, the fans showed no patience with the ex-Sweden international.

As some fans wanted Zlatan to be substituted, accusing him of slowing the game down, others wanted Romelu Lukaku to come in and fire.
Zlatan did go on to score, but fans nonetheless made him the scapegoat for not being clinical enough. In the end, Lukaku came on in the 60th minute and played a good game, making some intelligent runs and forcing several saves from the Bristol City goalkeeper.
Ibra is a vital player in Jose’s set-up, and will feature more as the season goes on. The goal will give him a lot of confidence, and once he regains complete match fitness, he would look to be lethal.
United next face Leicester City on the weekend in a crucial encounter, and Jose Mourinho will be sure to turn his attention towards the remaining tournaments after failing to defend the League Cup.
