Jose Mourinho Looking At Real Madrid, Contacts Florentino Perez About Zidane
Jose Mourinho has reportedly contacted Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez in order to talk about Los Blancos’ poor run of form under Zinedine Zidane.
The European and La Liga Champions were humbled by a blistering Barcelona side as they suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at Santiago Bernabeu.
Strikes from Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Aleix Vidal left the Galactico supporters in shock, as Dani Carvajal was sent off in the one-sided El Clasico. The Catalan giants have, in turn, cemented their top position, and now sit 9 points clear of second-placed Atletico Madrid.
Meanwhile, the Galacticos have won just 9 games out of the 16 they have played so far in La Liga, and considering their high standards, manager Zinedine Zidane definitely needs to change his tactics very soon.
Amid their slump, a report by Diario Gol (via Express) has revealed that former Real boss Jose Mourinho has contacted the club president to discuss ‘Real’s rotten from’. The Special One believes supposedly believes Zidane is the prime reason behind the poor results.
The Portuguese tactician was reportedly ‘stunned’ by the bizarre tactics adopted by the French manager against Barca, and even questioned the inclusion of Mateo Kovacic ahead of Isco in the line-up. He also pointed out to Perez that Zidane was ‘out of his depth’.
However, Mourinho might have bigger problems in his own backyard, as the Red Devils dropped points yet again against Burnley.
The 2-2 draw at Old Trafford was the second successive draw for United, after they conceded a very late goal at the King Power Stadium to end the match in a 2-2 draw against Leicester City.
