Manchester United are reportedly preparing to bring in more firepower, as they edge closer to signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal.

The Red Devils are currently the front-runners to land the Chilean superstar, as Sanchez has already agreed to personal terms with the Old Trafford outfit.

However, latest reports suggest that United manager, Jose Mourinho, is keen on bolstering his squad by adding four more players once the 29-year-old completes his switch.

As per the report from Daily Mail via Express, the Premier League heavyweights want as many as four more players, including Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, to join their side come the end of the season.

Bale has struggled to live up to his potential in Spain, primarily because of multiple injuries, and earlier reports revealed that now, even Los Blancos are prepared to sell him off.

With that being said, the Red Devils are trying to lure him to Old Trafford, and they currently lead the race for his signature.

Along with that, United are eyeing two central midfielders as replacements to the departing Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera, and a top quality full-back as well.

For the time being, no official shortlists have been named, but United have been linked with multiple stars in recent weeks. However, for now, Real star Toni Kroos and Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic have been suggested to be the ones Mourinho could possibly pursue.

Meanwhile, the idea to bring in a full-back has somewhat cooled off due to the revival of Luke Shaw. Though, prior to that, the Manchester giants were aiming to land Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose.
