Manchester United’s “Leaked” Retro Adidas Kit Is Class
Manchester United’s new retro kit, which is to be released by manufacturer Adidas, has reportedly been leaked.
The classic kit is expected to be launched by Adidas later this year, but a leaked image, which was posted by Footy Headlines, gives a fair idea about its design.
Manchester Evening News reports that the vintage design is inspired by the kits from the 1950s and 1960s. The classic look brings back the memories of the Busby Babes, with just the United crest and the Adidas logo printed on the plain red shirt along with a white round collar.
The sporting goods juggernaut has ditched the prominent Chevrolet logo from the design in order to maintain the ethnic look from decades ago.
Adidas, who was United’s official kit manufacturer between 1980 and 1992, designed some of the most iconic shirts in the good old days. In 1992, Umbro took over and produced jerseys for a decade, which was one of the most successful eras in the English side’s history.

The German brand returned in 2015, and since then, has produced top-notch kits for Manchester United. It was also reported that Adidas, apart from the Old Trafford club, would also be releasing vintage kits for its other big clubs, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus.
The report further stated that the rumoured date by which the classic vintage kits would be available for the fans to purchase will most probably be ‘in the coming weeks’.
