Stayed alert on the ball whenever the call arrived and made some decent saves in the first half.
Matteo Darmian: 4
Another unimpressive show by the Italian, as he looked out of place and did not do much arriving forward.
Victor Lindelof: 6
Looked jittery at times but settled down once the game progressed.
Marcos Rojo: 6
Conceded fouls in poor areas in the first half. Towards the end, made a brilliant assist for Lukaku to score.
Luke Shaw: 7
Had another impressive outing and looked very sharp and composed.
Michael Carrick: 8
Made a notable comeback to the side, and with his calm head, he settled in well and was an impressive engine.

Ander Herrera: 7
Had a decent game despite initially being ineffective. He looked to press, and scored United’s 2nd goal of the night.
Scott McTominay: 5
Had a good chance in the first half, but the keeper blocked his shot. Lost the ball repeatedly, but made some good runs.
Juan Mata: 6
Workaholic, and kept the ball despite not doing much early on. Played a good hand for the 2nd goal.
Alexis Sanchez: 7
Lacked match fitness and that led to him losing the ball on numerous occasions. But he kept trying, and bagged two assists.
Marcus Rashford: 6
Scored a goal after being fed by Sanchez and worked hard in the game, but wasn’t sharp.
SUBSTITUTES:
Romelu Lukaku: 7
Made a strong impact and was rewarded with a goal in the dying moments of the game.
Jesse Lingard: 7
Another solid performance after coming on, and scored the side’s third, which was another collection to his great goals.
Angel Gomes: 6
Had a good moment after coming on, as he beat two players, but could not get his shot on target.
