Manchester City suffered a blow yesterday, as they travelled to DW Stadium to square off with Wigan Athletic. Disregarding City’s recent form, they lost 1-0 to Paul Cook’s side in a match packed with wild incidents.

Following the astonishing loss, Sergio Aguero was seen squabbling with a fan posterior to the final whistle, as the talented forward shoved the DW Stadium faithful, who rushed onto the field to celebrate City’s grand defeat.

Subsequently, the two of them engaged in a shouting match which necessitated some retraining from the players and other coaches.

The Argentine was promptly seized back by Wigan’s Cheyenne Dunkley before charging toward the fan. Then, another supporter got between them, while a Mancunian player pulled back the triggered forward. Aguero somehow ducked away, while more people came between the two.

Accordingly, he and the fan engaged in wild shouting.

The Mancunians endured a mediocre second half, having lost Fabian Delph moments prior to half-time in a distinct controversial event, which left the away boss boiling on the touchline.

This substantial fixture was the Sky Blues’ third defeat of the season, which put an end to their hopes of winning a quadruple this campaign.

Nonetheless, they are still in a position to acquire the treble, as they rest 16 points ahead of arch-rivals Man Utd in the league, and are set to face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final. Moreover, they already boast an authoritative lead in their Champions League round-of-16 tie with Basel.
