When it comes to Real MadridMan Utd links, David De Gea is the latest player to be attached to murmurs about transfers between the European giants.

Madrid have made no secret about their insistent desire to land the Spanish shot-stopper. This is evident in nearly all of the recent transfer windows, where reports have emerged that the Galacticos have been trying to pry away De Gea from the Mancunian club.

However, for once, the goalkeeper is involved in a transfer saga that does not involve him directly, or so it would appear.

As per Spanish outlet Don Balon, Jose Mourinho has informed the Spaniard about signing Gareth Bale in the summer, with a fee in the region of £80 million already claimed to be in place.

The source added that De Gea has gone onto inform the same to his compatriot and Bale’s Madrid teammate Sergio Ramos during this ongoing international break.

This entails a major development in the Gareth Bale to Man Utd saga, whose talks have been reignited over the past few weeks.

After Sanchez moved from Arsenal to United in the winter, it was believed that the Welshman’s hopes of playing at Old Trafford were all but over.

However, following the Chilean’s dismal and average performances, many seem to think that Jose Mourinho and company are on the hunt for more world-class talents, and that Bale is just the man for it.

With things looking increasingly awry at the La Liga club in terms of game-time, the injury-stricken star will benefit heavily from the move. At 28, it is indeed a miracle that he is able to attract such offers, and the history of the rumors will certainly assure some progress or the other.

Despite that, one must not forget the rumor mongering nature of the Spanish outlet, and how a bid for the former Tottenham star would be contrary to Mourinho’s official pursuits for only a central midfielder.
