The ex-Juventus star has started in just four of Red Devils’ last 11 fixtures because of his poor form, which has coincided with a period of illness and injury.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur star and Pogba’s French comrade, Hugo Lloris, has also shown faith in the 25-year-old ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia by claiming that he has ‘no doubt that he [Pogba] will be at his best at the World Cup’.
Lloris said: “Paul remains a member of our team of great value, he is one of our leaders. He has had to deal with some injuries and that notably explains his inconsistency. We know that when he is at 100 percent, he is one of the best players in the world.
“He has gained in maturity, understood his place, understood his responsibilities and I have no doubt that he will be at his best at the World Cup.”
