Man United could reportedly lose one of their star youngsters, Dean Henderson, in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have seemingly been quite active in the transfer market during the past couple of months, with some high-profile players already linked with a move to Old Trafford.

However, this time around, United have made headlines because one of their promising stars has reportedly decided to quit the English side in order to ‘seek a new challenge’.

According to the report by Mirror, Henderson has made up his mind to leave the Red Devils, as the 21-year-old made it crystal clear that ‘he wanted to quit Old Trafford for regular first-team football’.

It was also claimed that despite the youngster almost certain to bid adieu to the Theatre of Dreams, United would prepare ‘one final offer’ for the shot-stopper, as manager Jose Mourinho is keen to hold onto him.

Meanwhile, the Whitehaven-born goalkeeper, who made his England Under-21 debut last weekend, has already attracted interest from Championship side Aston Villa, along with United’s London rivals, Arsenal.

It was further reported that both the sides are ‘watching his development,’ as they explore their options ahead of the summer transfer window.

Henderson made a move to Manchester at the age of 14, after spending six years in Carlisle United’s academy. The youngster was later loaned out to Stockport County and then Grimsby Town, before he eventually landed at League One side Shrewsbury Town in July 2017.

The 21-year-old has been absolutely sensational for the Shrews, who are currently placed 3rd in League One, with his 13 clean sheets this season being the highest in the division.

The starlet would be out of contract this summer, and he looks all set to end all ties with the club without even making his first-team team debut for the Red Devils.
