United’s Executive Vice Chairman Ed Woodward is reasonably prepared to support Jose Mourinho with the hopes of bringing in as many hot targets as possible over the summer.

According to The Sun, Woodward is helping the gaffer sharpen his transfer budget to reach the £200 million target.

Furthermore, the official will show his support by working with the manager on signings and departures at the Carrington training complex.

The Special One, accordingly, has many players in his mind, including Napoli’s Jorginho, Juventus’ Alex Sandro, Spurs duo Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld, Celtic’s Kieran Tierney, and Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin.

The 55-year-old is well aware that his prospects at Old Trafford are concealed by a cloud of scepticism, with the board questioning whether he’s the right man for the task.

But regardless, Ed Woodward has always backed the Portuguese, and has installed his complete faith in the ex-Chelsea boss, even willing to stir the transfer window through a collaborative effort.

With the massive financial chamber on his side, Mourinho could, in fact, aim for the League title next season if he were to exploit the resources well over the summer break.
