Andreas Pereira is one of the several Man United players whose future at the club remains doubtful. The Brazilian, who is in loan at Valencia, wants to be assured of game time next season at Old Trafford.

The promising midfielder wants to narrow down a place in the side, and he feels the departure of Michael Carrick could open up a spot. Besides, fellow midfielder Marouane Fellaini is also likely to leave, as he has refused to sign an extension at the club.

That would leave United with four midfield options in Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, and Scott McTominay. However, Jose could still be tempted to sign a new player, despite the availability of Pereira.

The 22-year-old has spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Valencia, where he has done a decent job. But he does not wish to go out on yet another loan move, and would prefer to rather stay at Old Trafford.

According to Sport/Foot, the youngster recently revealed: “My future at Valencia depends on Man United. All the options remain open, but I don’t want to be loaned again. I’ve shown what I can do.

“This summer, I want clarity. I want to be able to stay at a club for two to three years in order to build something.”

Valencia are interested in a permanent move for Pereira, who they feel could be a solid addition on a long-term basis. But the Brazilian remains contracted to United until the end of 2019, with the option of another 12 months.

Juventus are also amongst a number of clubs who have been interested in the player. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether Jose gets impressed and finally gives Pereira the chance to prove himself at United.
