Benjamin Mendy has hardly been able to adhere himself to the Man City fans on the pitch this season because of his injury woes.

However, his absence on the pitch has been compensated by his presence off it, with his social media posts making him one of the most entertaining characters in football.

On Saturday, he did one of the most difficult things a player can do in football – earn the respect of the fans of his club’s arch rivals.

The Frenchman tweeted out a message of support to Sir Alex Ferguson, who was rushed to the hospital with a brain haemorrhage and had to undergo surgery.

The tweet earned a lot of respect from rival supporters, who were clearly shaken by the news, having just seen their former boss present Arsene Wenger a gift around a week ago.

Every sport has a bunch of loonies though, and one of them disguised as a Man City fan chose to reveal himself in all his inhumane glory.

He replied to Mendy’s tweet, senselessly hitting out at him for being a decent human being. The left-back wasn’t going to let that slide though, and delivered the most perfect response to the so called ‘fan’.

He simply told him to ‘F*** off’.
