Manchester United remained winless in two successive away games in the Premier League after being held to a 0-0 draw by West Ham United.

The visitors could not make the chances that came their way count, as the Hammers showed resistance to earn a crucial point.

Here is how Jose Mourinho’s team fared against David Moyes’ West Ham in a crunch away encounter.

David de Gea: 6

Wasn’t troubled much and had a quiet game to notch his 18th clean sheet of the Premier League season.

Antonio Valencia: 6

Gave a good account of himself as a right-wingback. Showed bundles of energy in making runs.

Chris Smalling: 5

Looked a bit shaky at times before missing a glorious header from a corner, which in turn, could have given United the lead.

Victor Lindelof: 6

Kept his shape and looked tidy in a three-man central defence.

Phil Jones: 7

Did not do anything wrong on the pitch and looked composed to see out threats.

Luke Shaw: 7

Played well and went forward several times. Appears to have made Jose happy with the performance.

Scott McTominay: 6

Played with tempo and was involved going forward several times.

Ander Herrera: 6

Did a decent job and moved the ball well. Looked sharp and watchful.

Paul Pogba: 5

Another inconsistent show by the Frenchman, who lost his cool in the latter stages. Had a good shot that whisked past the post.

Alexis Sanchez: 7

Tried many things and looked to create openings. His final ball in the start of the second half let him down.

Jesse Lingard: 7

Had a lot of energy and tested Adrian a few times. Gave more through the middle.

SUBSTITUTES:

Marcus Rashford: 4

Did not do anything significant after coming on. Misplaced a few passes.

Ashley Young: N/A

Did not have much impact with less time.

Eric Bailly: N/A

Did not touch the ball.
