Juventus Close In On Sealing A Move For Matteo Darmian
Italian defender Matteo Darmian hasn’t enjoyed his time at Manchester United as much as he would’ve hoped since his arrival under former manager Louis van Gaal in 2015.
The former Torino right-back fell down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho, and in the 2017-18 season, chances were very hard to come by.
Darmian had to see his playing time get very scarce at the English club, and was left a frustrated figure in Manchester.
Earlier, reports had stated that Mourinho had already identified the players he wanted to get rid off, and Darmian topped the list, with Juventus dubbed as his next destination.

The Italian champions have been linked with the versatile player for quite some time now, and according to a report in Tuttosport, things are expected to get quite serious in the next couple of weeks.

It is reported that 95% of the deal is completed, as the club is set to add some crucial bonuses in the overall package.
United are believed to be demanding at least €20m for the player, but Juve aren’t keen to pay as much. Negotiations are currently underway, and the European giants believe that they are very close to getting their man.

Juventus’ current full-backs, Kwadwo Asamoah, Alex Sandro, and senior figure Stephan Lichtsteiner, could be on the way out, and that opens the door for the club to get in new recruits.
Darmian is very keen on a return to his native land, and feels Juventus is the best place for him to get the desired game time.
The defender spent three seasons at the Old Trafford club, and appeared in 85 games in total.
