CONFIRMED: Juventus Star Allowed To Leave
Romelu Lukaku has had a brilliant season at Manchester United. With 27 goals and 9 assists to his name, his inaugural campaign has been one that the Reds have desperately needed.
However, whenever he had been lackluster or injured, no alternate striker with precisely the same caliber has been a worthy replacement. This dilemma was seen most visibly during their FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea, in which the Belgian was injured and couldn’t start.
Marcus Rashford, despite his brilliance and potential, has looked uncertain as a striker, and as of such, Jose Mourinho is believed to be eager for a backup player.
Now, they could have a player of great caliber. Several sources have linked Mario Mandžukić with Manchester United.

Seemingly aware of this speculation, Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved has made an important statement: “Mandzukic? As a club, we want players to be happy. Players who are unhappy can leave, we’ve always said that. We will decide together, whoever stays at the club must be happy to be part of Juve.”

He added: “Juventus did an extraordinary job this season. We worked hard but now it’s time to focus on the challenges of the future. We want to win more trophies but we know it’s not going to be easy.”
United have also been linked with Alex Sandro, another Juventus star who could solve their lack of a world-class left-back.

As for Mandžukić, it seems certain that the former Bayern Munich forward won’t be that big of a weigh-down on the club’s transfer budget. Sources claim that he is eager to play Premier League football, having not done so earlier.
At 32 years of age, it is easy to see why not all supporters will be eager to see him arrive.
However, if United do sign him, the Croatian could work out as a rotational role to Lukaku, and since he is in the later years of his career, regular first-team football may not be as important to him as say Martial or Rashford.
