Manchester United’s pursuit of Alex Sandro is not completely done and dusted just yet.

The Red Devils lack top-class full-backs in their side, and have been desperately scouting for some exciting names.

While the likes of Diogo Dalot and Joao Cancelo have been linked with a move to Old Trafford recently, United have also been keeping an eye on Juventus star Alex Sandro for quite a while now.

Chelsea were also interested in his signature back in January, but a deal failed to materialize as Juventus, are were supposedly not open to selling their star player at the time.

It looked like Manchester United might also miss out on his services this summer, but they were given a huge boost this week, according to the latest reports coming out from Italy.

The Serie A giants, who are also searching for full-backs, have identified Manchester United star Matteo Darmian as the right fit for their side.

Juve are ready to pay up to €15m for his services, but it is understood that United are holding out for a €20m fee for the Italian international, who will be out of contract at the end of next season.

It does make sense for United to use Darmian as a part of the deal to land Sandro, given Juve’s desperation to land the versatile Italian. But Tuttosport, an Italian news outlet, claims that things are more complicated than that.

The latest story from their print edition reveals that Juventus are open to selling Sandro at €50m, whilst not being interested in bringing in Darmian as a part of the deal.

But if they do end up selling Sandro, the Serie A champions will need to spend on more than one full-back, and will make Darmian a priority this summer.

They also have Joao Cancelo on their radar, which means Manchester United should act fast if they are to land their top transfer target in Sandro this summer.
