Luis Suarez is reportedly concerned about one of his Barcelona teammates leaving the club this summer.

As per reports, Premier League giants Manchester United have made contact with La Liga champions over a potential deal for midfielder Ivan Rakitic.

The 30-year-old has been a vital cog in the Barcelona side for quite some time now. And Jose Mourinho has identified the Croatian as the perfect replacement for Marouane Fellaini, who looks set to leave the club in the coming weeks.

According to a report in Spanish outlet Don Balon, it has been stated that Suarez has warned the Barcelona hierarchy about the possibility of Rakitic quitting the club this summer.

Further reports claim that Barca are interested in roping in new midfielders, and that, in turn, could see the Croatian leave Camp Nou in pursuit of new pastures.

Meanwhile, apart from Manchester United, Italian champions Juventus too, are interested in the player. The Turin club is set to sign German midfielder Emre Can as a free agent, and is keen on Rakitic too.

The report claims that Juve are ready with an offer of £61m for Rakitic, as they seek to bolster their midfield further, and add to the likes of Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi.

United have already roped in Brazilian midfielder Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, who is set to replace Michael Carrick, after the Englishman retired at the end of the 2017-18 season.

The Mancunian club could now be thinking of a similar deal that Juve have made, and will look to steal Rakitic, who has made 230 appearances for the Catalans.
