Man United Take Shocking Alex Sandro Transfer Decision
Jose Mourinho has given up his interest in signing Juventus full-back Alex Sandro.
Manchester United are planning a major overhaul this window, as they look to challenge for the Premier League title. Jose Mourinho has been quick to complete his business this summer.
The Red Devils have already agreed on a fee for Fred, who is in Russia at the moment, and will complete the move upon his return. Within three days of their first deal, United also announced the signing of Diogo Dalot from Porto.
In post-season analysis, Mourinho concluded that David De Gea was forced to parry a lot of shots due to a weak United defense. Therefore, the Portuguese has decided to make some signing to improve the quality of the backline this summer.

Dalot is set to play as a backup for Antonio Valencia for this season at least. However, Mourinho remains concerned about his options in the central and left-sided part of the defense. Jones and Smalling were pretty average last season, whereas at left-back, Ashley Young was seen more often, as Luke Shaw battled injuries.

Early this summer, Manchester United were linked with a move for Alex Sandro. The Juventus left-back had stalled new contract talks, and the Red Devils were looking to pounce on it.
But according to M.E.N, Jose Mourinho has asked the club to end their interest in Sandro, and instead refocus on signing a center-back.

The Sun has revealed that Juventus have demanded a fee of 52 million for their left-back. But Mourinho isn’t interested in paying that amount, as he believes that there will be a cheaper and younger option available in the market for Sandro.
Chelsea were close to signing Sandro last summer, but his consistency has been a matter of question. The Brazilian missed out on a ticket to Russia due to his poor performances in the second half of last season.
And now, it seems likely that he is once again set to miss out on a move to the Premier League for the same exact reason.
