Romelu Lukaku is the man of the moment after what he did against Tunisia on Saturday. The Belgian striker got onto the scoresheet twice on the night, joining the brace of Eden Hazard and the late goal of Michy Batshuayi, which ensured the match ended 5-2.

The victory also meant that having trumped Panama and Tunisia, the Belgian team is now on top of Group G, with their final game against England to be held on June 28.

The Three Lions will also be hoping to replicate the former’s success against Panama, and as things stand, the two favorites have more or less guaranteed a spot in the round of 16.

However, the Manchester United striker did more than just win the game for his nation, as his brace tied him with Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the Golden Boot, with both men having netted 4 goals each.

He also became the first player since Maradona to have scored back-to-back braces in the World Cup. Not too shabby for a striker that almost always becomes the butt-end of the criticism of pundits and supporters alike.

His parent club was clearly happy about how their striker, who had scored 27 goals in 52 appearances in his debut season for them, was performing, and decided to tweet on the matter.

The accompanying clip showcases the quirky Belgian entertaining on the red carpet during his unveiling from the start of last season, and it was certainly an apt choice. As a result, it has gone quite viral and Twitter certainly approves.

However, the 25-year-old seemed to have also picked up a minor knock during the game and had to be substituted, most probably in a bid to reserve fitness ahead of the big game against England.

How far will Lukaku and Belgium go in this tournament?
