Mohamed Salah has become a bona fide superstar in just one short year following his heroic performances in a Liverpool shirt this past season.

When Jurgen Klopp decided to bring the Egyptian into the fold, many criticised the German for investing in a talent that couldn’t hack it in the Premier League with Chelsea. That criticism was quickly erased thanks to pure genius from the man known as ‘The Egyptian King’.

As good as he was for Liverpool, Salah suffered a huge setback in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, when he was injured and left in tears after being unable to continue in a match that meant so much to him and fans all over the world.

Though he did manage to become fit in time for the World Cup, Egypt underperformed in Russia, and Salah was yet again denied a winning moment.

He made an impact at the tournament nonetheless, scoring when he could and trying to inspire an otherwise mediocre side, and one can excuse the attacking player for wanting to quietly retire to his home and prepare for the coming season with the Liverpool team.

But after his home address was leaked to the public, Salah returned to a mob of fans waiting for their hero to arrive, and being the gentleman that he is, the former Roma player humbly signed autographs and posed for pictures with starstruck fans.

His photos have been lining up on social media.

Salah proved again what a class act he truly is, as well as being a man of the people, the same people that prayed for him to be fit in time for the World Cup and fulfill his dream of leading his team out in the colours of his beloved Egypt.
