Manchester United’s transfer endeavors seem to be in the dark following the arrivals of Fred and Dalot, perhaps lost amidst the flurry of World Cup football.

While a deal has been agreed with goalkeeper Lee Grant, it is a foregone conclusion that this is clearly a transfer of minimum consequence, and a bigger piece of news will be awaited by supporters.

Now, the club could possibly provide their fans with the same, as a major claim has been made regarding one of their key targets from earlier in the window.

According to Duncan Castles, Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Alex Sandro.

The Juventus left-back has been on the club’s radar for quite a while now, and the deal was earlier thought to be dead following a stalling with regard to his fee. But new reports have now penned Juventus’ asking price for the 27-year-old to be in the range of €60 million pending negotiations.

This is certainly a surprising turn to a saga that many would have certainly thought to be over.

A key development that followed was the report suggesting that Jose Mourinho would instead seek to give Ashley Young and Luke Shaw extended game-time this season before addressing their long-held woes in that flank.

The 22-year-old Englishman, in particular, was expected to have been given a lifeline following the initial falling apart of the Sandro deal.

However, this new report is questionable too, as personal terms are usually the last things to be agreed to in a transfer saga, and as of such, a massive chunk of this rejuvenated tale has somehow gone missing, if it existed in the first place.

Will Jose Mourinho succeed in getting the player he has wanted for quite a long time, or does further disappointment await the eager Red Devils?
