Roma’s Sporting Director Provides An Update On The Futures Of His In-Demand Players
Manchester United is an attractive side to play football at. This much has been the paradigm for quite a while now, and it has also been a big factor in the club attracting quality players even when the results may have not necessarily reflected the same.
However, this doesn’t mean that they are at the zenith of Premier League glory either, and despite their investments in Fred and Dalot so far in the window, they are far from trumping their noisy neighbors Manchester City in terms of assured star power.
As of such, a massive update regarding one of their keen targets will be music to the ears of earnest Red Devils.
Roma’s sporting director Monchi, while unveiling the Serie A club’s latest signing Ivan Marcano, confirmed an important link.
He started off the press conference by addressing their new piece of business: “I know Ivan well, I’ve followed him for a long time. He could have stayed at Porto or chosen another club but he wanted to come here.”

However, it’s the comments that followed that will be great interest to Mancunian fans of the great game: “There are some possibilities that we sell Dzeko, Manolas or Pellegrini. But there are those for which we have no offers.
“I know you do not believe me but it’s true. I read the newspapers every morning, but until now they have not really arrived. If it arrives, we will study it and decide.”
Lorenzo Pellegrini, in particular, has been linked to Manchester United for some time now, and the 22-year-old midfielder could be an apt signing for the Red Devils.

The Italian could now find himself with a host of offers to consider, as reports have suggested that Juventus and Arsenal are also keen on his signature.
An update was also provided regarding the availability of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker: “Alisson, once recovered the post-World Cup tiredness, will come back to play a season at least or even better than the last.”
