Manchester United‘s transfer business this summer is far from completed, but the English giants may have a trick or two up their sleeve that they are likely to use before the window closes in early August.

While the Red Devils have been largely unsuccessful in their attempts to sign major players this summer, they aren’t in the mood to give up just yet, and could be lining up some important deals in the immediate future.

One such possible deal appears to be that of Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal. United have pursued the Chilean for a few years now, but face the best chance of sign the man following his dry spell for the German club last season.

The 31-year-old was left out of the team’s pre-season tour because of injury, but Vidal has since refuted that claim by posting on Twitter and claiming just the opposite by calling himself “100%”.

El Mercurio in Chile are now reporting that Vidal’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, has specially flown to Germany in order to work out a possible transfer deal for his client, with Inter Milan and Manchester United the main targets.

United seem like the best bet at this point, with Inter reportedly looking to sell a player before they can buy one, whereas the Premier League giants are eager to bring in a big name that would aid their title challenge in the coming season.

The report also claims that an offer in the region of £26 million is expected by Bayern if they are going to let go of their midfield man, despite the Chilean star’s age and contract.

The Bavarian club has already signed Leon Goretzka as a possible replacement for Vidal, and as a result, they may well be suited to discuss a transfer deal for the latter.

Agent Felicevich was also responsible for bringing in Alexis Sanchez to Old Trafford, and could do the business with United this time as well.
