What Zidane Thinks About Replacing Mourinho At Manchester United
Former Real Madrid player and manager Zinedine Zidane has revealed to close friends his desire to be the next Manchester United boss if Jose Mourinho does end up getting the boot any time during this season, Daily Mail are reporting.
The Frenchman won a hat-trick of Champions League titles with Los Blancos, but shockingly quit the club just five days later, citing a need for change at Real Madrid.
A need for change might be felt elsewhere, however, with Manchester United in all sorts of trouble at the moment.
Jose Mourinho has recently been in a public war with Executive Vice-Chairman Ed Woodward over the hesitancy shown by the latter whilst bringing new players to the club in the summer transfer window.

While Manchester United have publicly claimed that there is no need for Jose to fear for his job in the foreseeable future, there is growing resentment among fans over the way a massive club like United is being run from top to bottom.
Fans are expected to raise an anti-Woodward banner in the upcoming game against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night, and former players such as Gary Neville have also publicly laid into the chief over his method of handling operations at Old Trafford.

As for Mourinho, the Portuguese boss knows that he can temporarily silence the critics if his team shows up at Old Trafford ready to fight, and somehow manages to get past Spurs in comprehensive fashion.
But if the team comes up with a performance similar to that against Brighton, more and more questions are bound to be raised over the 55-year-old manager’s future at the club.
Zinedine Zidane will be looking on with intrigue, as he considers himself the favourite to fill the hot-seat if the Red Devils do decide to pull the trigger on Mourinho, and rest assured, many United fans will probably be wishing for the same.
