How Arsenal Fans Reacted To Wilshere’s Foul On Their New Favorite Midfielder Guendouzi

Arsenal finally tasted victory in their Premier League campaign, as they were able to hold West Ham United to a 3-1 defeat on Saturday.

While West Ham struck first-blood with Arnautovic scoring in the 25^th minute, a first half equalizer from Monreal, an unfortunate own-goal from Issa Diop, and an injury time winner from Danny Welbeck sealed three points for the Gunners.

Unai Emery will now be breathing easy, as the first two high-profile games didn’t go his way at all, and this was his chance at making an impact. However, not all things went well in London.

With the departure of Arsene Wenger, Jack Wilshere also found his oft-injury stricken spot on their roster in some worry.

While reports suggest that Emery did provide Wilshere hope for a rotational role in the squad, a new challenge was opted for by the Englishman instead, and West Ham was the destination chosen. As of such, Saturday’s encounter was a bit of a reunion for the 26-year-old.

However, his demeanor was far from civil. The former Gunner was caught making an awkward foul on Arsenal’s new man Mattéo Guendouzi. Needless to say, supporters didn’t take lightly to the move from Wilshere, and tweets flowed plenty to criticize the midfielder.

As one tweet suggested, it does seem possible that Wilshere may be a bit perturbed by the fact that a relatively unknown 19-year-old was able to receive both the love and a spot at Arsenal – a feat he struggled with during his disastrous tenure with the Gunners.

The victory now gives Emery’s lads some momentum going into their next set of fixtures, as their opponents are less intimidating than has been the case so far.

As for West Ham, the team slated for great things with their new stadium may be in a spot of some worry, as it has been three losses in as many games, and the bottom of the Premier League table is no comfortable spot.
