Mourinho Destroys The Spurs Fans That Sang ‘You’re Not Special Anymore’
Jose Mourinho has hit back strongly at the Tottenham Hotspur fans that sung insulting chants towards him during Spurs’ win over Manchester United last Monday.
As Spurs were thrashing the Red Devils 3-0 at Old Trafford, the away fans were heard serenading Mourinho with chants such as ‘You’re not special anymore’ and ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’.
Now, the Portuguese tactician has hit back at those supporters with a vicious reply, wherein he has taken a major dig at not just the North London club, but its fan-base as well.
When asked about those chants during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Burnley game, Mourinho replied (via M.E.N.): “Yeah but they didn’t have that song when we beat them at Wembley a couple of months ago.

“Was a cup final they had a big dream to go, a title they had a big dream to win, because they don’t win many. In that night at Wembley the United fans were singing ‘the special one’ and of course they were not singing that.”
Jose further went on to talk about the 3-0 loss and his interaction with the home fans after the final whistle, as he added: “Fighting? No. Playing football. Not from me, from the team. I don’t play. The team played, the team showed everything but goals we didn’t score.
“We made a couple of mistakes, we were punished but the players showed passion and the reaction of the fans was not for me, was for the team. Was for us as a team but the fans were behind the team since the first minute because the team was playing magnificent.

“And was a reaction to say, okay, we lost, doesn’t matter if we play well, defeat means zero points but the way the team plays, fought, I think the fans decided to have that kind of reaction in relation to me.
“I know the majority of the stadiums are used to the winning manager to jump around and to go to the crowd and to show his face and put his face in front of the camera, with me that is not happening.
“When I win I am the first one to leave but an important defeat at home, that’s the way I am, I had to go to the pitch and see the reaction and the reaction could have gone two ways and went to a way that I felt really humbled.
“And the team felt really supported and this week was not a difficult week at all. The people is positive, convinced we deserve much more than what we got in the last Monday and that’s why we have we difficult match this weekend.”
