Jose Mourinho was definitely a relieved man post Manchester United‘s 2-0 win over Burnley in game-week 4 of the 2018-19 Premier League season.

United got off to a terrible start to the campaign after losing two out of three matches that included a 0-3 loss at home against Tottenham Hotspur.

On Sunday, the team held its nerves and beat Burnley 2-0. The scoreline could have been more glittery, only for the visitors to have missed numerous chances that included a spot-kick from Paul Pogba.

United bagged three crucial points and survived Burnley’s foray of attacks in the end, after having been reduced to 10 men. Mourinho praised his team in the post-match conference and cited that it was a relief in a must-win scenario.

Romelu Lukaku bagged two first-half goals to make sure United came away with a victory and headed up the table. Jose and co. have been bolstered by United’s fans, and the boss acknowledged their spirit and support post the loss against Spurs last week.

On Sunday, the travelling fans made their voices heard, and Jose was seen performing a great gesture. The Portuguese endeared himself to the United supporters with his actions just moments after the final whistle was blown.

A footage shows him handing his coat to one lucky supporter in the away stand, as Mourinho entered the section and gifted the same. The fans were excited to see their club’s manager come and get involved with this sweet gesture.
