Has Romelu Lukaku Just Revealed His Next Destination?

Manchester United may have to worry about keeping their biggest stars in place. The club seems overly reliant on a few of their key players when it comes to attaining success, and one can’t fathom a stable Red Devils lineup bereft of them.

David De Gea is their main man, defensively speaking, while Paul Pogba channels the brunt of the side’s midfield ploys.

As for their attacking barrage, Jose Mourinho has been insistent that the club hasn’t found an apt striking replacement for Romelu Lukaku, evident in the Belgian’s perennial appearances with the side.

However, the club may not always enjoy his services, as revealed by his recent comments.

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku was quizzed as to whether he’d consider joining his brother Jordan, who plays for Lazio in Italy, at any point in the future. The striker aptly responded: “Why not? I hope it happens.”

In fact, the Belgian clearly has his potential Serie A side picked out as well, as he added: “Juve have a great project in place and they just keep going. Every year they try to get stronger.

“Without doubt, Juve are one of the two-three best teams in Europe. They’ve got a great coach on the bench and extraordinary players in every area of the team.”

Interestingly, it will be the Old Lady itself that will be amongst Lukaku’s bigger challenges when he returns to Old Trafford after the international break.

The Italian giants have been undefeated so far this season, having conceded only a single goal in their last six games, a record Lukaku will be hoping to crush when United clash with them in the Champions League.

Closer to home, it is his former side Chelsea that will pose a threat to the club, and the 25-year-old will be tasked with bringing his international form – wherein he scored 5 times in 3 games – back to his club, for which he has only bagged 4 goals in 11 games.
