Major League Soccer is set to enter the off period, and that’s where LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is being surrounded with speculation.

Reports are suggesting that Zlatan will not be returning to the Premier League during the off-season. This has come up despite speculation being rife that he could rejoin Manchester United in January.

Zlatan, who signed for United in 2016, enjoyed a stellar debut season before suffering a horrific injury at the end of the campaign.

He did return the following season after being sidelined for several months, but couldn’t quite replicate his old form.

The striker left for LA Galaxy at the start of the year, and since then, has been in amazing form. He has already scored 21 goals in 25 appearances for the MLS club.

Jose is a huge admirer of Zlatan, and will be happy to get him back if the opportunity arises, especially when considering the fact that Romelu Lukaku has struggled for form for the Red Devils.

But Zlatan has brushed off any suggestions of a potential reunion with his favourite manager, and said that he wants to focus on his body and get timely rest.

The Swede stated: “I think I’m in a situation where I need to have a good balance between work and rest. Because I came back from injury and because of my age and the load I’m putting in during training.”
