What Mourinho Said About De Gea’s Contract Will Worry Every United Fan
Manchester United have had a tough time since the day Sir Alex Ferguson left the club, and there is hardly anything that has gone their way.
From manager sackings and mid-table finishes to poor signings and underwhelming performances, the stability in the Red Devils’ locker rooms has just been missing.
However, through these horrid times, there has been one name that has stayed and has ‘literally’ kept their heads floating above the point of no recovery.
David De Gea was signed by the legendary Scot, and as a boy who did not make the best first impression upon his arrival at the Theatre of Dreams, the Spaniard has gradually developed into one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

This season has been one to forget already for the fallen giants of English football, as they languish in the bottom half of the Premier League table, and are far from convincing anyone that any sort of silverware will be coming their way.
Mourinho is facing an inevitable sacking, and the star names are being linked with departures from the team in big money moves.

Amid such speculation, the transfer rumours surrounding De Gea have been a headache for the fans to think about, and Mourinho’s latest comments might not make things any better.
The boss said that he was ‘not confident’ on whether his shot-stopper would remain a Red Devil after the season. While speaking to Sky Sports, he added: “If the club want to be better than it is and not worse, obviously it would be very important to keep David.”
